New information centre in Norway

INVIA is a new national information centre that provides information about the Norwegian authorisation and recognition systems.

On 8 April 2010, Tora Aasland, Norway’s Minister of Research and Higher Education, opened the new Information Centre for recognition systems for foreign education, INVIA. The information centre is organised as a part of NOKUT.

INVIA is intended to function as a gateway for everyone seeking recognition of international education and/or professional experience.

INVIA is also the EU point of contact for recognition of professional qualifications for professions regulated by law in Norway, covered by Directive 2005/36/EC. This means it is there to help citizens of EEA countries by providing information about the recognition of professional qualifications in Norway. INVIA can also provide the same assistance to authorities or points of contact from other countries.
